SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- BART temporarily halted service through the Transbay Tube between West Oakland and Embarcadero stations Friday morning. Regular service resumed around 5:19 a.m., with delays expected.
The service stoppage was due to a trackside equipment problem, according to a BART advisory issued just before 5 a.m.
In an update, BART wrote, "Train service has resumed through the Transbay Tube in both directions. Expect up to a 20-minute delay on the San Francisco line in all directions due to earlier unscheduled track maintenance between Embarcadero and West Oakland."
